I Haven't seen him bowl at all in red ball since the ashes test last year tbh, just know he's clocked 3 of the 5 fastest balls this BBL and clocked the fastest ball he's ever recorded in the BBL, consistently bowling as fast and sometimes faster than meredith atm. Whether that's just a t20 thing or carries over to his red ball game IDK.
Yeah tbf I also seem to recall him not bowling particularly quickly in the tests against SL back in 2018/19 so maybe he just can’t sustain it in red ball
I really hope he doesn't go the way of Pattinson. He's the best prospect to come out of Aus fast bowling in a decade. Unfortunately seems to have a body made of glass
Not many can. Also the bbl speeds have been a bit suss over the years, though they've seemed reasonable this year. Richardson has bowled some quick balls this bbl but he's generally around 135 - 142 mark and swinging both ways. He's been fantastic in Perth and the best bowler in the bbl this season. He's also sorted out a few pretenders like Matt Short. Which makes Ollie Davies' innings against him tonight all the more impressive.
Because he sucks. Its a good thing. Perth are shocking.
