*Official* Australia vs South Africa -2022/3

Warner trying to rapidly bring up the 200 before he succumbs to cramps...

Now moved past Inzy with the 2nd highest score for a batsman in their 100th match.

Root's 218 stand alone (at the moment)
With so much time left in the Test he could be eyeing up another triple hundred , maybe even Lara's record

i was referring to the first two cities- Durban and Cape town which are coastal cities comparable to melbourne. Centurion/ Joburg are cooler all year round.

The difference is, they have a cool sea breeze, melbourne is bloody hot in the summer.

The bowlers are tiring/welting in the oppressive Melbournian heat

The Aus open(just down the road)- by way of example has enforced heat policy, where on a day like today, Players on the main courts, will play entirely indoors.
Melbourne's average temperature is historically lower then joburg and Centurion/Pretoria....

He will look like victim of the bends if he bats that long
Yeah,he's doing it tough out there. Not in a good headspace at the moment.

Probably just try to bring up the 200... retire hurt.. and if given the chance come back tomorrow and kick on when the temperature will lower.

Brilliant innings, he's blocked out all the noise , battled through the heat and smashed a bruising double hundred on Boxing Day ...
What a way to answer the critics , you write off Davey Warner at your peril .

I know he took a bunch of cheap poles in the last game but I don't know if I've been as underwhelmed by a visiting quick based on their (earned) reputation as Rabada so far in these two games.
He has not been at his best for awhile… part of it has been work load. They keep having to rest him. But he has been trying to carry this SA team since Steyns injury years ago and I think he is getting burnt out quickly.

Can you image the expectation on this SA bowling attack to game after game rescue the team without any real support from the batting unit.

SA are meant to be competitive because of the bowling but the bowlers never get a chance to just relax and play. Always fighting from a losing position. Rabada is not going to make 30 at the rate he is going. And the sad thing is everyone will blame him for not trying hard enough.

Warner halfway through his leap as he brings up his 200 'Aaah,f...k that hurts'..... lol

He's just too high of a prospect of giving his wicket away right now... Well played Dave... now retire hurt.
