Whatever it takes!!!
was talking about his batting:)

if i had to i would just play him as a batsman as he is getting into best batsman of the team territory now
Nah, if he is not keeping, he wont feel comfortable batting in his style. His keeping is definitely improving, so its all good. A #5 keeper who is also a great batsman is cool for us.

I'd push Shreyas up, get Washy in where Shreyas currently bats. Gives us an option of someone actually being able to bowl in the top 5/6 or whatever too.
I'd love to see Washi bat at 5/6/7 in this side. Has a lot to offer and might compliment Pant very well.

im worried about his workload, since the last odi world cup he has 2nd most international matches for India and is also 2nd on specialist keepers list. only Rizwan has a higher workload and in the next ftp Pakistan won’t play as many tests as we do. the team wants him to play all three formats as a regular and also bat at 5 in tests which is too much of a burden in the long run as no other team does this consistently except perhaps Pakistan sometimes

several test keepers have also gone on to be better batsmen once they gave up the gloves like Sanga so I wouldn’t worry about it affecting Pant’s performances

I don't know what to make of the Indian middle order. The same bunch have sucked for years now and not enough players are being given chances. Unfortunately it's not like we have good players waiting to replace Kohli either.

Iyer in SENA is a very big liability.

Sarfaraz has been in crazy form but he isn't being considered for the side yet for reasons unknown.

i am not sure why there is a sudden myth that there are not good players to replace the current failing players. here are just a few players that i remember with their fc averages who are yet to play internationally

Yashasvi Jaiswal - 87.31
Sarfaraz Khan - 78.97
Yash Dhull - 67.07
Rinku Singh - 63.44
Akshay Wadkar - 59.66
Dhruv Shorey - 55.30
Baba Indrajith - 52.44
Ankit Bawne - 52.15
Priyam Garg - 49.74
Rajat Patidar - 46.30
Yash Dubey - 46.17
Upendra Yadav - 45.13
Bavanka Sandeep - 44.82
Anmolpreet Singh - 44.30

some of these dudes are young and haven't played as many matches but other countries would be envious of such batting depth and such a diversity of players to choose from. i am not even including players that are either too old and/or have already played internationally like SKY, Pandey, Nair, Jackson, Dube, Shahbaz, Hooda and i am not including players on the fringes of the current setup like Vihari, Gill, Shaw, Agarwal. i have also not included a few other names like Kunnummal, Sudharshan, Sindhu and Raghuvanshi because they only have single digit number of matches

to claim that we have no good players waiting to replace the current old ones is a myth and the sooner it dies the better. we simply aren't giving proper run to these dudes and we are instead rotating them constantly in both the main team and the 'A team' leading to them never truly establishing a good case

Well, the series vs Australia could well be Pujara and Kohli's last test series. I can see them getting sacked after losing the series due to their batting failures.

I think Indian batting lineup needs a big overhaul similar to around 2012 when India let go of Dravid, Sehwag & Laxman.

How good is that Easwaran guy?
I always see him making runs in the 'A' team?

I wonder why pant throw his wicket between 30-39 after well set for 60-70 in test matches
