As bad as a 3-0 series defeat is for Pakistan there are positives from the series as Abrar is a huge plus and Shakeel looks a good bat to back up Babar. Once they get a few of the pace bowlers fit it will make a huge difference to the side and they will be a lot more competitive as a team.

New captain will help, probably give it Rizwan.

The way we've dismantled Pakistan in this series has been astonishing.

Yes Pakistan aren't the greatest team in their history but this is still some performance.

It all stems back to the astonishing win in the 1st test. Nobody but nobody, apart from Stokes and McCullum, thought a result was possible, particularly with the short days due to bad light.

It was a match that Pakistan should have drawn without any trouble but they fell apart under pressure.

From that moment on, Pakistan were mentally beaten and we were filled with even more confidence.

The thing with bad captains is that they can destroy any interest you have in following a team. Because he automatically know that the team is not playing to their potential and is not capable of punching above their weight. Kind of like England under Root.

My gut says they wont axe him, then if he can manage a win against NZ they will let the mediocrity continue, because removing Babar would make Ramiz look bad.

Jacks was very much a horses for courses pick and he wouldn't have bowled as much as he did but for Liam Livingston picking up an injury in the 1st test.

He'll get some white ball games in time but the next time we may see him in the test set up will be when we go to India in 2024.
