*Official* Australia vs South Africa -2022/3

Kenneth Viljoen

International Regular
Won't know how good the youngsters are unless picked , but going forward there is Janneman Malan , Ryan Rickleton , Joshua Richards, Tony De Zorzi who should be given genuine chances in the test side , but anyway gotta give credit to the Australian attack this some pretty top notch bowling, I reckon Bazball is the only way to go on this pitch just gonna be sitting ducks otherwise.

Like, Boland hasn't even had a bowl yet. God knows how many he'll take in his first over.

Well yeah I was pretty critical of that pitch too. I'm not impressed by this, we don't need a pitch this bowler friendly to know that this lot can bowl.
Yeah quality of the attacks present exaggerate the wicket tbh. WI would still have struggled to get 10 wickets

There is a sticking point with all those players.

if this was taking spin rather than seam the gomer public who (rightly) are hooting and hollering for starc's wickets would call it poor tbh

Yeah but Rassie and Erwee have the same sticking point without the upside.

I definitely thought Rassie was worth a crack given how many runs he was scoring in both domestic cricket and ODIs even though he was on the older side, and he's played a couple of good Test knocks too, but there's no point having a 34 year old averaging 30. I think it's time to say it didn't really work and move on.

If people are in any way thinking that the quota issue is the reason for the poor selection policy at this stage they are truly ignorant of how bad the selection issue is. And few of the problems are due to quota compared to just out right stupid archaic thinking.
