Whatever it takes!!!
Yeah, its a new approach and each tour and series is a different test in itself. What we can say is they have crossed their first 2 or 3 hurdles well, including the Pak tour and the next one up is NZ away.
The media and social media won't temper down. First few test and series defeats will receive brutal criticism because that's the only thing media are good at.If England continue to play test cricket this way, they are going to win tests that they never should and they absolutely will lose some that should never be lost. So the typical knee-jerk reactions to every win or loss has to be tempered to some degree.
More like they will win tests they should have drawn and lose tests they should have drawn too, I feel. You know the worst part of all of this talk about "bazball" is that when it does come unstuck (as it inevitably will on occasions) the amount of revisionist bs that is going to be said will be next level.

Esp. English media. The media and social media won't temper down. First few test and series defeats will receive brutal criticism because that's the only thing media are good at.
Definitely an element of this, but the most recent Test is one we’d typically lose. When you look at how close Pak got, our fast scoring while wickets were tumbling in the first dig was key to victory.More like they will win tests they should have drawn and lose tests they should have drawn too, I feel.
I cant think of one......especially since the core group of players hasn't really changed.Question: has there ever been a more radical change in a team’s performance due to a change in leadership? If memory serves, England’s form in the last year or so of Root’s term was 1 win out of 17 tests. Since Stoakes and Baz took over, they’ve won 8 out of 9.
I think Ganguly had that effect on India post fixing scandal but he did bring in the young brigade of Zaheer, Yuvraj, Sehwag, Harbhajan and Kaif.Question: has there ever been a more radical change in a team’s performance due to a change in leadership? I do think that 1 in 17 figure is a little cherry-picked. A lot of draws in it and it starts right after the England win in Chennai last February instead of between seasons. From the start of 2020 up to that point England had won 9, drawn 2 and lost 1 which isn't very different from the current results.Question: has there ever been a more radical change in a team’s performance due to a change in leadership? Perhaps Chris from Lancashire is a Kiwi. We talk about Stokes, but Caddick lived here a lot longer than Stokes. On the BBC feed they asked which cricketers from the past would have excelled for England under the “Bazball” regime and Chris from Lancashire said “Andy Caddick”.
Wanna bet it is greater than their run rate in the 2015 WC. Maybe even the 2012 WT20.England's run rate this series was 5.6
I never did understand why people would make a documentary or biography while athletes were still active. Probably financial reasons or some other bsThey made Ben Stokes documentary too soon.
There can't be a part 2?They made Ben Stokes documentary too soon.
