Kohli a lot more consistent tbh. Both have declined - is this due to pitches flattening or to bigger bats?

Even if you cheat by selecting Kohli in your ATG XI batting at 5, you still have plenty of very good alternatives to him for that slot. You don't have any alternatives for Kapil Dev, and I reckon he's one of the first 3 names on the list, along with Sachin and Gavaskar.

So yea, Kapil > Kohli easily
