Hehe. Tendulkar is a formality. I wanted to move ahead to juicier selections.

I think posters are more hard set on their opener selections already and I am leaving spots 6 and 7 to the end as they have the most variability based on the rest of the lineup.

I'm not. I voted Gilly and would have Symonds and Klusener at 6 & 7 to have 6 decent bowling options. If Gilly misses out to Rohit or Greenidge, I would have rather voted for Watson/Jayasuriya as my 2nd opener so there would still be 6 decent bowlers (assuming Dhoni then gets the vote at 6).

I still think it would be fair to have a fixed time limit of voting period for each position so that more people get to vote and it looks fairer at the end
