In any tournament that you win, you will have lucky moments but you can't win the whole tournament just through luck.

I remember for all. He bottled it against WI. Got extremely lucky against Aus but it was a wonderful knock. Great innings in 2019 albeit possibly too cautious and today ended up clutch at the end despite the poor knock to start. He’s balanced it out in t20 now so you just sound bitter

Not that lucky , for a long time they weren't able to get over the line in ICC tournaments ... 3 ODI WC finals England were on the losing side , The 2016 T20 WC final England were in they lost .


Coin Toss yes teams have a preference, but if things don't go your way you have to make a play that neutralizes the toss... You can't make a below par total and then just blame the toss , Pakistan weren't good enough to do this on the day ..

Also England I felt gave an impression during the group stages that par totals might just give them some trouble ..and India unfortunately fell for it big time ..Maybe there was some tactical nous there

In last 3 WT20 (16,21,22) all the 9 knockout matches have been won by team batting 2nd. I can certainly see a pattern.
