If just Tests and not looking at cultural contribution to the game, then take out Trumper/Ranji/Barry for Kohli/May/Root

Yeah it's purely based on Test batting.

Headley and Hammond are too high on your list. Gavaskar and Lara too low.

Compiling a top 30 is beyond my attention span. Bradman is obviously number one. After that I have Viv, Tendy, Lara, Hobbs and Sir Garfield in a heap with Smith tantalizingly close to joining them - then a bunch of others. :santa:

Not sure beyond this. After Bradman, have Tendu and Sobers in the next tier, impossible to split between them.

No way Gavaskar is this low.

Mine which changes every few minutes:

1 Bradman
2 Sachin
3 Hobbs
4 Viv
5 Sobers
6 Hutton
7 Lara
8 Gavaskar
9 Chappell
10 Hammond
11 Ponting
12 Sutcliffe
13 Sangakkara
14 Kallis
15 Border
16 Barrington
17 Dravid
18 Waugh
19 Headley
20 Walcott

Won't consider current players until they retire. And except for Bradman my list is pretty fickle.
