While FHK have been having a fantastic season - hanging in there in SOD Div 1, near the top in T20 Div 2, a long Cup run and surviving in Dev Div 2 despite lots of guns ageing out/being unavailable - ZCC are facing relegation in two out of 3 leagues.
With only 1.8 mill in the bank the pressure is on the club to somehow avoid relegation in the T20. We're in 7th place, 4 points shy of 5th and 7 points behind 4th. With 4 games left, I think we're probably 2 losses away from confirming our relegation. Do or die from here on it.
If we do relegate the club will have to undergo some massive soul searching, with a plan put into place to somehow drag ourselves back into Div 2. Going to be a real challenge.

Plus I'll probably be losing money on a weekly basis if I relegate due to less sponsorship and lower attendance. Will have to trim the squad significantly.

You are quite right and as an X number 1 WR that is the standard you have reached and are used to. I guess Kandy are in the circle of never having had such a player or the money to buy them - so discussion on such riches and or abilities causes a smile- but your point is fair enoughit's hardly enough to buy a Nat-standard talent anymore tho

Started work about 15mins after so thought I'd check his price when I was on the way but couldn't really afford to go much higher than I did.

Will be experimenting with some combinations, in anticipation of a few senior heads leaving the club by the time CWC7 rolls around.

That is totally crazy - I know it is human nature to often feel hard done by - but sometimes I put a decent player up for sale aged 26-29 and he won't even get a nibble for 1k and then i see inferior players go for sale for 50-150k! But I'm not brave enough to have him sat there on my wage list for weeks in the hope of getting what i think he is worth (only taking up a playing space if i want to retain his levels / or at risk of decline otherwise) -
0k to 200k takes some beating though! He has good stamina pot and batting pot, with reasonable actuals- maybe Sherlocks hasn't heard of superstars!?!?

Its almost predictable at the moment... TMOs get into a decent batting position, my better more aggressive batsmen all fail (they all in good touch) getting out to lower quality bowling... and TMOs end up scoring 30 to 50 runs short.
My bowlers bowl at higher BQ throughout the innings fail to take wickets until maybe the mid stage, to late,... and my fast bowlers (that apparently give away less runs) always end up going for lots of runs and when I look at the opposition batting its not like TMOs are facing 45+ skill bats.. similar or worse than mine. And at the beginning of season I had similar orders scoring more runs and winning games... but now those orders do something completely different. I feel like I might as well roll a 10 sided dice to decide what I should do for my batting because it appears to have the same effect.

ZCC batting imploded today too. Very precariously poised in SOD and T20 with relegation in Dev confirmed. Our senior squad are playing for their jobs atm.
Yea TM is fickle, and I always seems to go shopping at the worst times! Taufeeq Bashir about to age out of Dev and I want a specialist bat to replace him. Let's hope my academy uncovers someone good

Currently, Mooo are battling the table-toppers, Aukward Auklanders...they have outrated us by more than 6K.
This Moo team is a fairly experimental one as I am pushing youngster more. Let them build with their experience.
So far the 'youngsters' have made an impact of sorts: Zulfiqar Hamid playing as an AR (more of a batting one) got a wicket for not much in his 2 overs. Andrew Kerr has been decent holding an end with his bowling, yet to take a wicket though.
We got them 138/4 in the 32nd over. Here's hoping we dismiss/contain them for something under 220
