Group 2 (Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Netherlands)

Not Terrible
Basically if these sort of things are happening and it's seen as perfectly normal ..
It provides the temptation for match fixing , there's loopholes ...
Why would matches being scheduled at the same time make match fixing less likely? They're still theoretically fixing both matches.
And India vs Pakistan at group stages has nothing even remotely to do with fixing and everything to do with getting a giant audience

Lol Shakib. Looks like he’s contemplating a Gavaskar style walk off/ dummy spit here

The replay made it look like that might have started spinning a bit but the ball tracking seemed to register it as a full toss?

I suppose you could argue it's fixing by boards and schedulers to do that and not do it randomly or by ranking.

To be fair though I would totally do that but I'd sooner kill @Burgey than actually fix the result of an international match so it's a bit different.

Respected former moderator @Dan insisted the BBL was fixed to an almost annoying level with his posts.
Their was a really bent match about 10 years ago with Kent which was really dodgy, a massive thread on betfair at the time about it.
I think noted Gentleman Lou Vincent was playing.

The IPL will have bent stuff, but I don't think we will ever know what it is as gambling is illegal in India and those involved will take it to their grave.

Because if matches are played at the same time especially the final matches , then teams have less of an idea of what they need to do ..

For example yesterday England and Sri Lanka .. England had a huge advantage of knowing what they needed to do in the final game , Sri Lanka had nothing to play for because all the other games were completed ...The motivation has suddenly been compromised ..That's a big temptation to manipulate the result..

Really ? You think fixing India and Pakistan together every group game has not made it easier for the Black Market to get hold of matchday tickets ...

India vs Pakistan is the biggest white ball cricket game in cricket and it's guaranteed to happen every group stage game ... What could possibly go wrong ? If you look at cricketers who have been done for fixing they are players who have played at the highest level not even a decade ago , Lonwabo Tsotsobe , Mohammad Amir , Sharjeel Khan , Sreesanth etc ...If these guys can fix anyone can fix .
