International Captain
Mumbai Indians in 2020 had perhaps the best ipl xi in history

1 De Kock
2 Rohit
3 SKY
4 Kishan
5 Hardik
6 Pollard
7 Krunal
8 Bumrah
9 Rahul Chahar
10 Boult
11 Malinga

This one could definitely challenge a few international sides
That's a ridiculous side. The only weakness I see is lack of batting depth - otherwise this is better than most international sides.

As someone else points out, not so much when you consider SKY wasn't the player then as the 2021/22 version, & Malinga was about 80 years old in 2020.

80 years old Malinga still took 4 wickets in 4 balls against your team around six months back to that ipl season

Sky in 2020 was still the most consistent batsman in the side and struck at 140, what else do you need?

Lol, fair play. I see Pollard averaged >50 with a SR of >190 in IPL 2020 too, it was 2021 & 22 he declined.

Malinga didn't play in 2020?

Craig McMillan adding to the voices that question Kane's spot in the team.

Not Glenn Phillips though, who says Kane is 'gold' and ' Next game he could very easily get 50 off 20 balls as well so we back him fully." That might be reaching a bit...

Phillips is a bit of a strange unit, would be funny if he just came out and said something like "Kane's a good lad but fawk me he cant bat atm, playing with a pool stick."

Bunch of word spaghetti from KW on his T20 SR of late. Very much dancing around to issue with ifs and buts, rather than just conceding that it's just not good enough and has become a liability for the team. The problem isn't helped when everyone around KW tells him what he wants to hear, so he's now believing himself that it's all fine, and there's no problem.

Let's not call them anchors just to avoid the endless debate it generates. Let's call them batters who put a heavier price on their wickets
Let's call them slow.

That's what they are and there's little else to it.

That’s weak. At least Finch had the balls to admit he ****ed up.

Adair picked again because he might slog a few boundaries when they are 112/8 chasing 190 ffs.

Any of the four reserves even the entertainly mediocre Simi Singh would have made more sense.

Adair can be a bit of a gun with the new ball tbf, swings it both ways. I like his selection as long as they only bowl him in the first half of the innings and use Campher if they need more seam after he's done.

I dunno , go with Doheny to boost the batting and to see what he is made off, they can get 20 overs easily from Hand, McCarthy, Little, Campher, Delany, Dockrell and if stuck Stirling.

Really want to see what Doheny is made off tbh.

Gotta take those
If there's one thing will help your guys stay ahead of ours on NRR, it's the combination of Irelands' new-ball only attack and shoddy fielding. Afghanistan can't field either, but their spinners are really good.
