Interesting comparison, in all seriousness. Unfortunately Amar Singh didn’t play many Tests, but neither did Bond.

Amar Singh did have a better reputation though.

It is a really odd comparison though. Amar Singh was a medium-paced bowler of cutters. Not even remotely comparable to Bond.

Wasn't Mohammed Nissar a better/quicker bowler than Singh?

I thought Singh was held in high regard due to his all-round skills

Nissar was quicker. Singh is usually considered the better bowler by the writers of the day, even though his stats are almost always worse. I reckon bowlers that weren't fast tended to get more favourable treatment then, like if those judging were a bunch of David Friths.

Is there footage of Nissar? I saw that he’s playing in the same game but he doesn’t feature in those videos with the ball.

Both Hutton and Hammond rated Amar very very high. (Like best in the world kind of high)

There's nothing exceptional in his stats though and he barely played any tests. Bond is a seriously low bar though so Amar gets to be better by default. In fact I have recently learnt that actually playing tests has no relevance to being good so Amar is probably better than every NZ bowler bar Hadlee.

Cowie better than Amar Singh by a good margin.
Cowie bowling from 10.13.
