*Official* New Zealand domestic season 2022/23

International Vice-Captain
Quite wacky captaincy by Canterbury to bowl their young quick at first change rather than 4th change like Wellington and ND. Who is the crazy maverick captaining them this year?

All I can say is, lucky O'Rourke, to not have a complete ****tard as a captain/coach.

Oh Wellington
What is the point of Jakob Bhula? He's averaging 11.94 with the bat after 10 matches - which will decrease after this match. Ollie Newton averages more and McPeake about the same. McPeake scored 25 here - is it too much to ask for one of the batsmen to outperform this?

He was NZ U19s a few seasons ago and scored a big hundred opening, though iirc it was against a lesser team and he did this despite being awful outside offstump. Hasn't looked like making the step up to FC at all, afaics.

at least wellington are giving someone younger than me a run.

10 games for a similar average should be curtains for a bit though.
