Scheduling 2 games within 4 hours of eachother in the middle of weather conditions we have was ridiculous.

Yeah it feels wrong that a team can have the 5 over DLS target in 3 overs and not have the game considered a result.

If they lost 5 wickets in the next over then it would maybe change the required DLS score... so have to play out minimum overs, as unlikely as that is.

Is it not just as likely that SA deadbat the next over knowing the rain is around? They could genuinly play out 2 overs and only run for quick singles and win. I understand why it's done the way it is to a certain extent, but in the moment it's extremely annoying.

Yes, that is a more likely occurrence but that is also why we actually play games and not just theorize results. And why we have a minimum number of overs to constitute a game.
