I remember Tim Seifert playing gun knocks vs Pak & India last time they were here. For sure looked better than these guys. Always played with Intent.

Most of our guys are happy to eat up time and get their eye in. The opposing team, gleefully accepts that approach.

I think our bowling attack will have to a do a lot of heavy lifting in the world cup. The batting isn't up to par with effective modern t20 batting...as displayed by england, australia and india recently.

Brilliant from chaps....just go for it. Throw everything at it. Lets have some fun. Been losing a lot recently. But its also the way we've been losing, so meek and dour.

Oh look, Neesham out trying to swing for the fences after a top order slow start, again

Good bowling.

We might only get 150 at this rate. Phillips innings did not provide the impetus needed after Conway and Williamson had already thoroughly anchored us.

Why is almost every batting lineup impotent all of a sudden? Is it the micropastics or what

Phillips said on the west indies tour that he's really focusing on rotating the strike, running a lot between the wickets because of the large grounds in australia. I really hope he isn't doing this at the cost of what brought him to the big dance in the first place, which is shot-making. He can do the roadrunner crap in ODI's during the middle overs all he wants. In T20 we don't have the luxury of very many power hitters.

Still saying we missed a trick by not grooming Josh clarkson into the t20 side a year ago, seeing the world cup is in aus ... he can play on surfaces where the ball does come on.

And Macewell, just...just go home dude. I'm failing to see the funny side of this experiment anymore.

Loved Chapman's proactive approach at the crease. Others stand and wait for bowlers to make mistakes while he's moving around, trying to dictate where they bowl to him. Brilliant.

Maybe though think today he just struggled for timing, for whatever reason.

Anyway, very unimpressive end to NZ's innings, though Rauf and Wasim were good. Happy with the cameo from Chapman though.

Yeah, all good for now. He has so much credit in the bank. Trusting him to remember what he's there for and coming good. Although I fear that the KW school of t20 thuganomics is slowly (no pun intended) creeping into him.
