*Official* South Africa in India (white ball)

Playing Bavuma in T20 is braindead already. SA can have him in ODIs & Tests. But him leading a T20 side is comical indeed.

Arshdeep makes this bowling attack so much better. Swings the new ball and is one of india's best option's in the death.

Shamsi is useless against India, so was Tahir but he still must play every game and if South Africa are going to be funky, it should be Fortuin coming in and opening the bowling.

Not sure how Pretorius also got himself dropped from this side.

Never seen a team this tense defending 82 runs off last 4 overs.

37 needed off the last over needed now and there is intense discussion going on with Axar about to bowl.

They scored what, 46 in the last 2?

Another day in which we have to do without Yadav performance to that degree and we would have lost the game easily. Our bowling is pathetic at the moment even if conditions for it aren’t ideal tonight

Good effort. Got close even after giving India the first over. Bavuma is a massive headache in high scoring t20's.

Averages 12 this year with a S/R under 90. Hendricks averages 46 with 4 consecutive fifties with a S/R at 140. Maharaj could lead the side.
Its annoying from a South African POV because this is not a bad T20 side and ordinarly a team who should relish a world cup in Australia but Bavuma is so bad it's unreal.

The jury is out very much on whether Rahul should open for India but **** me he's peak Chris Gayle compared to Bavuma.

For obvious reasons though South Africa are stuck with him as the fallout from dropping him would be a disaster politically especially if the likely replacement Reeza did not do well.

What are his numbers like in ODI'S ....I recall seeing online they are inflated somewhat by minnow bashing ?

Maybe if he has a bad world cup he might step aside, but if he doesn't ....oh boy...... :whistling

We got a Telly Tubby attack. Harshal is probably the worst T20 Int'l bowler our there. His cutters will be deposited 20 rows back in Australia. Dravid & Rohit have lost their brain cells & call opposition pacers se*y in PC's

Bavuma averages 45 from 19 ODIs with a strike rate of 82. Take away his matches against Ireland and 15 matches, averaging 43 with a strike rate of 82. So no real minnow bashing going on there.

And in T20s before he became captain he averaged 36 with a strike rate of 133. Those are very respectable figures, but they're only from 8 matches, and maybe it's looking like his appointment as captain was premature because his record as captain is 19 matches, averaging 20 with a strike rate of 108.

India should have taken a risk and picked Siraj and Umran Malik for this world cup our bowling looks toothless with bhuvi and Harsha in the team
