Likely one of the Pakistani pace trio or can Steyn make a possible claim?
Probably someone that did it without cheatingLikely one of the Pakistani pace trio or can Steyn make a possible claim?
Also rules out any of the England 2005 bowlersProbably someone that did it without cheating
Waqar was fantastic but wasn't Wasim a bit more skilled in that he could reverse it both ways rather than just inswing? It's Waqar 90-95 it's not even close was there ball tampering yes likely but to be honest most reverse swing spells in history have been done with external support.
Lee was more effective in ODIs than tests with reverse for some reason.Probably someone that did it without cheating
Brett Lee bit of a left field suggestion
the systematic tampering that series was far worse than any mankading. Also rules out any of the England 2005 bowlers
Yes Wasim was good but Waqar was unreal batsman knew what was coming but they could not do anything about it the sheer pace and in swing would do themWaqar was fantastic but wasn't Wasim a bit more skilled in that he could reverse it both ways rather than just inswing?
Ah come off it, the game's a lot more fun with tinkering with the ball. You don't think Lillee, Maco and Hadlee did their fair share? Go back through the footage and you will find interesting things.the systematic tampering that series was far worse than any mankading.
Possibly the worst thing England cricket has done and that is saying something in a world where Bodyline, Stokes/Hales, 2019 WC final cheating, Yorkshire racism etc. all happened
Not really true. Waqar was especially lethal for new batsmen but once a guy was set he became manageable, whereas Wasim with reverse was far less predictable.Yes Wasim was good but Waqar was unreal batsman knew what was coming but they could not do anything about it the sheer pace and in swing would do them
Reverse at that pace is pretty toothless.Vaas may be. Achieved it at 125k, and cleanly without bottlecaps, vaslin, jelly beansc scrathching or sand paper.
I have seen Aravinda taking Waqar's reverse swing to cleaners. Wasim was much mor subtle, and Imran was probably the best among Pakistanis.Yes Wasim was good but Waqar was unreal batsman knew what was coming but they could not do anything about it the sheer pace and in swing would do them
Tell that to West Indians when he took 26 wickets in a single series.Reverse at that pace is pretty toothless.
Imran certainly had the biggest inswing with reverse among the three and the most destructive spells.I have seen Aravinda taking Waqar's reverse swing to cleaners. Wasim was much mor subtle, and Imran was probably the best among Pakistanis.
But it is Vaas, because for multiple reasons.
