I don't think there's any metric by which you can slice things to say that India have outperformed Aus in World Cups. Even if you are talking about World Cups played in India they have both won 1 each

If green continues to make runs opening this series and finch doesn't come out of these last 2 games with a significant score what does that mean for finch's t20I spot?

Swapping captains just before a WC, especially given our lack of options on that front isnt ideal, but if green plays another innings like he did today I don't know how you keep him out of the side.

Green has to be in the squad first though. Do you think they will/ can add him?

Who does he replace though? We've already got 4 solid middle order options to fill 3 slots.
He can definitely take Stoinis' spot.

Warner
Green
Marsh
Maxwell
Finch
David/Inglis/Smith
Wade

Could be the top 7, potentially they could even play another batsman with Green, Marsh, Maxwell to bowl 8 overs between them. Would be one way to go

hmm so who are your picks for the bowling lineup
chances to natu, retain arsh, shami, bumrah. if one of them fail consistently then look for someone else. heck even umram malik- hes got pace can give him time to refine his line and length. but im afraid our pace resources are very limited outside of the ones i have mentioned and thats the sad part- we have never produced someone like boult, steyn, lee who can make an impact from getgo (bumrah is an exception). it feels like we genuinely lack the talent of fine bowling.

Whatever it takes!!!
I knew the name starting with g was not a coincidence.

So we now have both Gambhir and Gavaskar in CW... Not a bad opening pair for the CW India XI.

it's great to see green do well because i know it's still early days, but i was getting a bit worried he was playing really "block bash" in internationals n including tests

whereas even in mickey mouse format cricket if he can get some fluency at this level it i reckon will do him a world of good tbh
