Asia cup dates are released. Asian Cricket Council and Sri Lanka Cricket Council has decided to shift Asia cup from Sri Lanka to United Arab Emirates because of crisis in Sri Lanka. Asia cup 2022 Schedule, squad, teams, groups, India squad, venue has been announced earlier.

The official Asia cup schedule has announced, Asia Cup will commence from 27th August’22 to 11th September this year. Asia cup will take place in t20 format, which is good for team to prepare themselves for the upcoming grand tournament of T20 World cup – Australia in the month of Oct-Nov’22

Asia Cup 2022 Venue
Earlier Asia cup venue supposed to be in Sri Lanka but due to current economic and political scenario in the country it’s quite difficult to organize such big event. Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) mutually decided to that Sri Lanka will host the tournament and Asia cup will shift from Sri Lanka to United Arab Emirates.

New Asia cup venue will be United Arab Emirates, 2 stadiums will conduct matches for upcoming event (1) Dubai International Cricket Stadium with 25,000 capacity (2) Sharjah Cricket Stadium with 16,000 capacity.

Group A

• India v Pakistan: 28 August, Dubai
• India v Hong Kong: 31 August, Dubai
• Pakistan v Hong Kong: 2 September, Sharjah

Group B

• Sri Lanka v Afghanistan: 27 August, Dubai
• Bangladesh v Afghanistan, 30 August, Sharjah
• Sri Lanka v Bangladesh, 1 September, Dubai

Super 4

While the batting was dogsh*** from lankans... Bowling gives me no hope. Two debutants with barely any T20 experience.
Pitch had some juice in it. Asitha or even Rajitha would have come handy. Why didn't they pick Kumara?
Top stuff from Afghans though. In T20 they can beat both India/Pak on their day. Farooqi is a find for them.

They beat them last time in ODI Asia cup too. SL just never turns up to Asia Cup these days. Last two editions were horrible for them. A proper horror start here too.
