What do people want to happen after you draft a full team, given that hb is likely to get there this round.

I think the options are:

  1. You can keep drafting players to your "squad". You keep drafting your squad until the last player has 11 players. The vote is then some combination of how good your team/squad is.
  2. You don't make any more selections
  3. You make selections, they don't go into your team but do block other drafters
  4. You make selections, they don't go into your team but do block other drafters, but I also won't wait for those people if they haven't submitted picks.

I think 1 is bad because you'd have needed to know that from the start. The original plan was 2. but someone (I think maybe Teuton?) was keen on 3 when they PMed me. I think maybe 4 is the best one?

What do people think?

4 is an upgrade on 3.

2 is flawed, as the last player in the game will get all of the remaining players they want.

1 is flawed as it is a big change from what we started with and gives hb (or others with a full teams) a big advantage.

4 it is.

Also, one question.
Can we pick cricketers who didn't play a test? OP says everyone is eligible (including Bradman). Does that mean all cricketers or all test cricketers?

I was thinking 1, with the vote only taking into account your best XI. Happy with 4 though.

Not in the draft but once people have finished their teams, they get to pick a player to block.
If multiple people block the same player then they effectively block the block and that player can be picked, unless they are then also picked by multiple players.

That sounds fun, and in the spirit of the draft.

It's possible that the last player in the game has been counting on this with their strategy so far however.

This admittedly does sound fun.

We'll go for this approach then.
