Shanto is just so unconvincing. Footwork is absolutely nowhere a lot of the time, and then he's stuck trying to line it up with his hands. Still a long way to go for him.

That's it. We deserved very bit of it.

Can't play quality spin in our own backyard. Kraigg should have been opening the batting with Tage, and we'd be 150/0 after 30 overs. Who knows how that would have spurred the 'power-hitters' at the back-end of the innings.

300 was definitely on...

We suck so bad at ODI's. Honestly, we must be the worst full member nation at ODI's over the last 10 years? We've never cracked it.

When we could bat we couldn't bowl and right now I don't know where the hell we're headed in this format.

Is there an argument for a separate white ball coach to give Phil a breather? This ODI setup is not working.

Yes the pitch for the last 2 matches sucked and the winner of the toss was 70% more likely to win the match with the early starts. But that doesn't excuse the margin of the defeat nor the performance itself.

This match has not served as a good advert for the reverse sweep
true but no game is. Keemo Paul batted brilliantly without playing any reverse sweeps perhaps he knows its the dumbest shot in cricket no matter the conditions. My earlier post claiming it offers a chance 1 in 4 times its played proved to be conservative

Tamim plundered runs with the reverse sweep, so it improved the 1 in 4 ratio at least a bit

Tamim tried about 16 of them and only connected with 1, and that one took a leading edge and went for a boundary to a straightish fine-leg
Haha, nah he hit a couple of them flush I thought. Tamim is a terrible reverse sweeper though. He's been trying them a lot in ODIs since he came back from injury the other month against South Africa and they always look like he's playing them for the first time.

Nah, from what I saw...he never connected with any at all. He was judging the line wrong.

Brooks now given out to one hitting the top mm of the bail. When it rains it pours. This is horrible.

Bish is absolutely right about this series not preparing you for the roads they invariably have at World Cup events. You need to practice on hard decks where you can get the hang of putting on 300-350 scores. It's robbing both teams of practice.

Yep for sure. It's one thing having a bit of spin, but this is an out and out poor pitch worthy of icc demerit points.

Guyana is doing itself no favours at all here tbh (sorry SCC!). They can do better than this pitch.
