Some say that it takes balls to play some of these shots.
You're right. It's not meant to be aesthetically pleasing...it's like wading through a watering hole and a hangry hippo charges at you. It's mad and insane. But, when it's pulled off, it looks like a feat of brilliance. You outfoxed the hangry hippo in its own territory.
That's ballsy...and you'd wanna rock out with your **** out.
4 in 1 time, if you're not impaled from the tusks of the hippo, then you're meant to play it...master of all.

I think the reverse sweep is fine but the switch hit is when the leg stump rule should go away. If you are suddenly gonna change grips to be a leftie having taken stance for batting right handed, then you are a leftie for the purposes of the LBW and wide laws too.

There's an element of risk/reward in the reverse sweep. What really annoys me about the use of the reverse sweep is when it's deployed when the risk is high - particularly annoying when someone reverse sweeps straight to a fielder at a kind of backward point sort of area who as well have been set there for the shot. It's brainless. When the best that can happen is that it gets hit to a fielder that will prevent even a chance of a single, the shot is absolutely stupid
If there's a decent gap sized gap there and it's a clear boundary if timed well - i.e. the worst case scenario is a 1/2 and you've got a reasonably decent chance of a boundary, then find.

my bet will be that 1 in 4 reverse sweeps results in the chance of a wicket. Not the result of the game which lancaster will win, naturally with tim david anchoring a great line up with bat and ball.
im happy to risk $50 to prove my point in this specific game to the buffoons who think a reverse sweep is a profitable shot.

This is pretty much the same as a batter driving outside off to a swinging ball with the slips loaded, or trying to hit over the top of a boundary fielder. The shot itself is fine, it's when batters either choose the wrong moment to play it, the wrong ball to play it to, or execute it poorly.
