Haven’t watched but looks like Ireland’s batting filled their boots. Ferguson clearly a class above the rest of the attack it looks like. Good test for NZ’s lineup in the absence of Kane and Conway.

Yikes just tuned in and see Ireland have amassed 300.
Maybe it'd be good for the game, but don't want to see this at our expense.
All blacks losing to Ireland yesterday is a headache enough, lets not get the weekend double please.

Latham must have missed the memo about making sure Henry bowls out by the 40th over.

Tickner bowling garbage for the most part. And kept getting overs after getting pumped.

On the occasions I have seen Tickner bowl, all of them he seemed to get totally pumped and creamed all over the park.

I have been keeping an eye on Tector since the SA vs IRE series last year. He definitely has loads of talent and a good head on his shoulders. I haven't seen his defence be properly examined yet but let's hope he hangs around and Ireland get more Tests.

He isn't the biggest hitter so it's a role that gets the most legs out of him in this side. And allows then to play someone like Dockrell who doesn't bowl much anymore but can hit a long ball and score at a good strike rate at the end of an innings.

Yes, I am hoping Ireland play more tests. It would have been good if NZ had played a test too in this tour.

we were originally meant to, but both of these boards are notorious for weaseling out of test cricket.

afaic it's very typical of cricket to not see the forest from the trees. cricket sees the test nations as competing businesses rather than departments of the same business, where it would be better for cricket if everyone was producing fun test cricket.
