Last night Yorkshire won against Surrey in T20 Vitality Blast, without Root, Bairstow, Brook... Willey was there though. Does that mean he can't be part of England's XI in the first T20 tonight ? I guess Sam Curran would have played for Surrey & Brook for Yorkshire if they could play both matches... ?
Anyway this England team looks pretty solid. Sad to say that it looks even stronger without Morgan. But he's been a great captain!
I hope we can see Roy & Buttler open together.
Roy, Buttler, Sam Curran, Livingstone, Brook, Ali, Willey, Jordan, Topley, Parkinson. Only 10 there... Salt could fit in there. I'm not a big fan of Mills. I've rarely seen him be a big threat... In this team, you have excellent hitters till #9, four seamers, three spinners.

I dont think he will be selected as England released him for the match. Was a bloody good match btw

I like Surrey's choice to place Curran at 3. It think in T20, England can afford sending players ahead of "specialists" or more experienced batters, to try and get some big overs through out the match. Curran can be one of them. Willey another.

I can't help but get the feeling England have an almost cost free roll of the dice here.
Given how much talent we all know Jos Buttler has, why not at least give him another crack in test cricket?
Nintendo makes the obvious point that he has shown some serious technical flaws, but didn't we all think that recently about Jonny B?
To have a chance to play under Brendon as coach, things could all be different for Jos from the mental side of the game.
If he's relaxed in his actual role of how to play, what's expected of him etc, who knows what he could produce.
At the end of the day, if he fails not too much is lost, but if it comes off it could be total gold.

Imagine being an India Supporter today knowing that their team is going to lose again (In a different format) to England.
