HE REVERSE SWEPT ANDERSON OVER SLIPS AGAIN

Anderson to Pant, 2 runs
Audacious. He has seen one kick off, and now he reverse-laps this over the slips. A bit of a top edge unlike Root, who has been nailing them. Still gets two for it

lol hack

Suspected Pant would do this when watching how easy batting was after the first session in the NZ series. Also think QDK could have bashed a couple of hundreds for SA later this summer if he wasn’t retired. Big loss for them.
Interesting to see how India go with the old ball, obvs have a better chance than England and NZ’s attacks.

Pant's done better than Sehwag in England yet?
Amongst a bunch of low scores, he scored a century when he was a teenager in 2018, a really clutch match winning knock last year when India were in complete shambles last year and now this.

He's an attacking No.6 wk so you're looking for him more to play an important innings or two a series when he comes in without many runs on the board rather than being a reliable presence who occupies the crease and by that score he's been decent.

Regardless, I still think he's been better than Sehwag in England even independently. Just radically different roles though.
