I must admit that when we were 50+ for 6, I'd forgotten about Overton, assumed that Potts was batting at 8 and that we'd be all out for 75. Not that I'd have predicted this from Overton even if I had remembered him.

Great fightback from England, Jonny Bairstow holding England together again, who would have thought this just over a week ago.
It's been a familiar pattern for the blackcaps this series, having England by the balls then letting go.
They need to learn to squeeze tighter in these situations, perhaps don't let go until the balls go purple.
Jonny B just brings up another ton, well done him.

It's 5 am here in NZ but watching Bairstow although it hurts is a joy. Knew before the series Root, Bairstow and Stokes will hurt us. Didn't know to this extent.

Two of the very best knock I've watched in recent memory. It's not just power hitting he's been smart, calculative and very skillful. Top class.
