Reckon you might be thinking of me referring to the Socceroos as "we" in the World Cup forum.

Otherwise there's only ever been one "we". "We" was referring to Bangladesh doing Mayers' average a lot of favours. West Indies are just my sidechick, except I don't see her that much and she's almost as ugly and consistently disappointing as the wife.
oh yep if it's socceroos soccer/bangladesh cricket then you're all good?

I remember when Kraigg Brathwaite was in a test squad with Floyd Reifer, Ramon’s uncle. Floyd was the captain; he hadn’t played a test since the 90s, Kraigg was 16 and in the squad after a handful of FC games. Good times.
Floyd must be the worst test batsman to ever make it to four matches

I know he's greatly advantaged by the Dukes ball, but Mayers' picking up wickets with his 120 km/h wobblers will never cease to please me.

By the way, those who believe that seam bowling is somehow due to magic might be wise to pay attention to Mayers' in swinger (left) and leg cutter (right) noting the difference in the seam position at release. Joseph distinctly releasing the ball with a bit of a bias down the right hand side but seam straight rather than positioned for the out swinger to move it away from the left handers another notable point.

A 26 year old who averages 24 after 45 matches is one of your hopes for a future 'decent batsman'? Ye Gods...
Due to the standard of our umpiring I reckon that would be an average of 34 in India, Australia or England .

At the moment there is a consistent pattern for this generation of batsmen. They do well at Under 19 level, struggle in FC cricket (if they even get picked) and only really start performing when they are 25/26 or even older. This has happened to Brooks, Bonner, Campbell, Devon Thomas, Tage, Keacy Carty and many more. It's because we had no system in place to help young cricketers transition out of under 19 cricket and most of our franchises insist on picking established players who are a) old and b) mediocre.

Still, it is what it is. Personally I am looking at the current under 19 generation that will have the benefit of better pitches, the franchise system and an academy to help them develop. So Ackeem Auguste, Teddy Bishop and Kevin Wickham are ones to watch out for.

hey now you're turning into Sam this is really getting worrying

Ebadot nicked Bonner's edge in the previous and no one appealed.

Since then we have taken the lead and more importantly, this pair is showing more urgency in run-scoring.

I can't believe they didn't review that Blackwood LBW. That looked out on first viewing.

Poor batting from us, some senseless dismissals, though it is a difficult pitch.

Credit to the Bangladeshi bowlers, they stuck at it superbly.
