Right.Lols. The wicket in Antigua is always awful. It's either a pancake borefest or a green seamer with uneven bounce from day 1. There does not seem to be any middle ground.
Can imagine leg slip catches like that are the hardest but you have to take them.Ahhh!
A chance goes begging...Mominul at leg slip spills it.
It would have been 0/1
Taskin and Shoriful are part of our best attack and would have made a lot more of the pitch and the Dukes. I'm gutted they're not involved.I've been impressed with the Bangladeshi seamers. They haven't got the pace or movement of our seamers but they have bowled with relentless accuracy. They can definitely build on this.
I wish this was true, but it isn't. The only gems are the fast bowlers. Then there's the "useful but not outstanding" in Mayers and Da Silva*, and the "thank **** he's finally test class" in Brathwaite and the rest are crap.Windies have got a really good test team these days to be more competitive. They’ve found a few gems that have been chosen late on their careers but they all seem hungry to play test cricket and represent West Indies
We are on the verge of getting some decent young batsmen…Solozano, Tage, Carty. Nothing to beat our chests about.I wish this was true, but it isn't. The only gems are the fast bowlers. Then there's the "useful but not outstanding" in Mayers and Da Silva*, and the "thank **** he's finally test class" in Brathwaite and the rest are crap.
I'd love them to be rich enough to put some of these gun white ball batsmen on Australia/England sized central contracts. Then they might have played some first class cricket and we'd have found out if they could have made a go of it.
They will however be (hopefully) a lot better now that they've finally had a proper first class season to for the first time in three years. They'll probably beat us by a record margin in fact.
*Happy to be corrected on Da Silva
Is this a chap I should be following? Also, Motie might be a once-in-a-generation player (fingers crossed)
Yes!Is this a chap I should be following?
Bonner has had a very good start to his test careerI wish this was true, but it isn't.
Then they might have played some red ball cricket and we'd have found out if they could have made a go of it.
