Ah, my bad. Shakib then.he is actually a wicketkeeper-spinner-batsman.

Very weird selection. Played one amazing T20 innings on a miniature ground and his spin bowling is "developing" late in his career. There are plenty of other players who could've fulfilled this role.Who is this Bracewell? Pace bowling all rounder debuting at #7 so naturally inclined to think @Fuller Pilch rates him better than Botham.
Don't want to lose another wicket before lunch.Probably not easy for Bracewell having had to wait that long for the wicket to fall. Looking vulnerable.
Debutant just smoked his 10th ball in test cricket for 4Probably not easy for Bracewell having had to wait that long for the wicket to fall. Looking vulnerable.
Atherton no selling Bracewell's debut, must be a Ravindra fan.he is actually a wicketkeeper-spinner-batsman.
Athers talked about “Michael Blundell” again, but corrected himself this time.
One would hope that the umpires invited them to **** off and save their energy for learning how to bowl and catch.Starting to think the ICC should cap the number of times teams can request the ball is checked.
Marcus NorthAh, my bad. Shakib then.
Posted earlier that NZ selectors are trying to replicate the unexpected success they had in picking De Grandhomme and Mitchell for NZ duty. But... they've chosen a much higher degree of difficulty this time.Very weird selection. Played one amazing T20 innings on a miniature ground and his spin bowling is "developing" late in his career. The other two had also performed really well in the Plunket Shield before their selection, whereas Beacewell had a terrible Plunket Shield season last year (great T20 season mind you). Seems he was also picked as a spinner because he turned a couple in an ODI against those renowned players of spin from the Netherlands.Posted earlier that NZ selectors are trying to replicate the unexpected success they had in picking De Grandhomme and Mitchell for NZ duty. Age at NZ test debut
CDG: 30y 126d
Mitchell: 28y 200d
M Bracewell: 31y 117d
FC Batting (it would be nice to quote the record at time they made NZ debut but I cbf, so this is the current record)
CDG: 6592 at 38.7
D Mitchell: 4570 at 38.1
M Bracewell: 5262 at 33.3.
FC Bowling
CDG: 205 wickets at 29.6
D Mitchell: 90 wickets at 29.9
M Bracewell: 27 wickets at 47.5
So M Bracewell is older than both at debut, has a worse batting average by 5 runs and a vastly inferior bowling average. Really pushing it this time.
