Definitely the highest percentage of good balls Boult has bowled in Tests in for ages (even accounting for how few Tests have been played recently), but he's bowling some serious dross once every couple couple of overs. Hopefully it's just rust and the fact that his pace/movement is back is a really positive sign for the series.

Would love to see Cam green spend some time with stokes in the ipl or at durham, stokes uses the slog sweep so well to pressure the spinners and it's a shot green use to play so much that seems to have mostly dissapeared from his game. Would give him a really good scoring option from his height.

Oof this is running away from NZ now, and if Patel doesn’t bounce back NZ are effectively playing with 3 bowlers now.

Stokes otherwise is horrible against spin too (especially turning away from him), really gets him out of gaol and often even gets spinners out of the attack.

Is the Barmy Army at the ground?

They have been awfully silent in this test.

They are never really a obvious presence at Lords. Tickets been over £100 doesn't help those more likely to create an atmosphere to attend.

Bloody hell Ben
