'grats Brumby lad.

My sympathies with the colic. Went through that with Sledger jnr and it was incredibly dire.

Cheers chaps, yeah this is #2. Both girls, but what you gonna do?

The first was an angel, the second slightly less so, as often seems to be the case.

If #1 daughter was like this she'd definitely be an only child like her old man.

Congratulations on the baby. As a terrible segue it’s quite funny to see Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday fans behaving like expectant fathers ahead of the final day of the League One season on Saturday. :tooth:

He's back from the dead. Dude was never dying right before a transfer window where Pogba moves on a Bosman and the big Haaland deal finally goes through.

Haha I totally misread Brumby's post, I thought he said 7 year old and wondered why the **** everyone was congratulating him.

Per the age old stereotype, purchase a shotgun and start polishing it on the front porch if any boys come into the immediate vicinity?

Anyway, congratulations. My two girls are a continual delight and challenge. The youngest (15 months) has taken to carrying around her sister's cricket bat and whacking (really, just tapping at this stage) any ball she can find with it. I have vague hopes she'll be keen to play cricket as a result. Wishful thinking, I suspect.

Oh well. 3-0 down, down to 10 men and all other contenders winning. I didn't fancy Wembley anyway. Scott Twine is possibly the best player I've seen at this level for years. Presumably top clubs are watching him.

We had a 17 match unbeaten run in the first half of the season and a run of 8 wins in 9 without conceding a goal in the final third of the season, yet still finished nowhere. It’s a funny old game. :tooth:

Question for the lower league lot: how much does winning the title matter, or is promotion, however it's achieved, the only thing which matters?

I'd just never really thought about it, in FM I always want to get promoted by winning the league I'm in but I'm curious how much it actually matters to you guys.

I’d like one, but it’s not of enormous significance. I’ve never even experienced an automatic promotion though. Don’t want to speak for grecian but I suspect if they wind up not winning the title next week he will be a bit miffed for a few minutes and then get back to looking forwards to L1.

It doesn’t matter one iota, at least not until promotion is achieved. If there’s still games to go after gaining promotion then it becomes a thing.

Promotion is what you want, personally, it's 99% of what I wanted, but I remembered us getting the championship in 89/90, so I had already seen it happen.

Promotion was everything though particularly after so many near-misses, it felt a further vindication of a fan-led club, as a fan who has been a member of the Trust since the beginning, it's hard to even put into words how orgasmic this is, so I didn't even try. Yet now we're here, let's get the ****ing title, and "We're going up as ****ing champions".

Bit presumptuous of a Rangers fan to assume he's not part of the "lower League lot" to which he refers tbh
