Powerplay isn't an issue, we already have Boult and Prasidh. Neesham is not good at the death. Saini is a better pick just for that role. But it does leave us light on batting.

He has been with him from the start man. Very much available. Just poor selection here.

Not really a poor pick. Like I said, they need someone to bowl in the death and already bat down to 7. A death bowler is more important than batting down till 8.

This is ofcourse assuming that Saini is actually a better death bowler than Neesham, which I'm not convinced with.
