Not my wish, I'm just asking you if you would apply the same logic.

I'm wondering if you understand what a question is...
Dude, its quite clear, you can usually get a very good idea by looking at someone what age group they fall into.

Nobody in their right mind thought that Shahid Afridi was 16 years old when he debuted. You could look at him and tell.

Marnus is quality but that nagging feeling of his inordinately high amount of luck with drop catches/balls falling in the gaps leads me to believe it might eventually bring his average down to less spectacular numbers soon. He's clearly very good but his numbers may be overstating it. Anyone know what his fca is?
First class average is in the mid 40's, think it's 45 without test matches included but can't be ****ed doing the math. He averaged 30 before the county season with glamorgan but since then has been in god mode wherever he plays.

Whatever it takes!!!
Which is interesting because the match wasn't telecast live and all the newspapers were gushing the next day as to how a 16 year old has broken Jayasuriya's record.
yeah definitely remember this part. I think through the 90s, Pak were obsessed with finding their own Sachin and so Afridi just went to 16 year old, I think.

Why?

Wht makes it worse than say India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka?
Pakistan is a much poorer country than both India and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan would take 15 years to reach current day Indian per capita income/HDI. Around 25 to reach current Sri Lanka.

Pakistan's most advanced state of Punjab has a lower HDI than India's most backward state of Bihar.

I get 42.91 as his non-Test FC average. Which I think is good when you consider how **** it was early doors and that the Gabba can be a nasty place to have as your home venue.

42.91 makes sense tbh, think it was closer to 45 before his second short-lived gig at Glamorgan last season

Babar is a different level. If Marnus finishes with a better resume then Babar has underachieved.
