Tickner bowling good heat which is irrelevant apart from I'm sure I had an argument with someone a while ago where I reckoned he bowled heat and they didn't

I think he got selected in the test squad and there were comments to the effect of "why pick this next-cab-off-the-rank plodder". Tickner is tall, high action and quick so has genuine claims as a talent/project imo.

Also this is as good a chance as I'll get to note that Ian Butler has recently been seen on Facebook commenting favourably on a game that I played in (we played the first ever day/night game at his old club and Buttsy was loving it).
