Just realised ZCC's groundsman Din Khalil has been in decline.
57 years old, 0 Adjustment skill and 8 Consistency. Used to be higher than that (definitely not 0).
It's a shame because he was a starting player at ZCC. Has 243 wickets for the club, and played in our very first game back in Season 1, which incidentally was against a team that is now known as Dynamo Morpork! Entered our Hall Of Fame in Season 3, when he took 69 senior wickets across 32 matches.
I really don't want to fire him - would be losing a part of our history - but that does mean the door is open now for us to hire a 2nd groundsman. Unfortunately no one in either squad is turning 30 soon, so if any CW team has a 30 year old they'd like to offload we could probably offer them a job as groundsman for a couple of seasons.

Hindsight is 20/20Yea sadly.
Kinda regret selling off Bikswing Nouding now! Had I noticed earlier I'd have gotten him back at ZCC tending the pitch on which he took bags of wickets. Instead he got a coaching job at another club and was fired soon after

I've been relatively lucky with getting former club legends at coaches/groundsmen at both clubs. Also have a former BD Nat player coaching at ZCC too. Eventually one was bound to get away.
The Buy Ins have a 30 year old on the market, going to sign him up and train him to handle our pitch for a few seasons. I think he'll do a job with Din Khalil till Raun Shkorer is ready to retire...

Speaking of which, that 48 pot bat Gould is going for nearly 3 million. Yikes. I paid 2.7 mill for Zack Yattack and 3 mill for Raun Shkorer back in the day and people told me I overpaid.Which, judging by the (lack of) batting talent in the ZCC wings, will probably be when he's 36.
Seems like the future of ZCC batting is either going to be be 43 pot batters down till 8 or picking up ageing guns from the TM to fill in the gaps...
