*Official* Australia in Pakistan 2022

My favourite part was Pak declaring at 440/4 when they clearly had no intention of trying to win the game going in or after the Aussie innings.

Holy smoke, just seen scorecard for first time today.
How's the pitch been playing, it's still the same one right?
Can only imagine a combination of Australia have been superb, and Pakistan very poor?
Apart from a couple of periods of Starc bowling 2m down leg trying to inswing it, you wont find a better fast bowling performance on a subcontinent pitch.

Pakistan certainly weren't great, but some of the deliveries were absolute brutes.

Reverse swing masterclass.

I think they did the right thing with the F/O, no need to work the quicks into the ground with only a 5 day break to the final test. They only bowled 50 overs in the first, but there's no reason Pakistan can't score 300+ even in the last innings, the pitch isn't doing a whole lot, it was reverse swing that was the factor, it's turning, but certainly no bunsen.

Yeah but on the flip side you can't blame other outfits whose seasons are at the same time for wanting a piece of that pie tbh.
The 'pie' is basically the Indian cricket audience and they're not going to watch the PSL instead of the IPL

Ramiz has been an absolute embrassment to Pakistani cricket since taking on post of Chairman. Someone needs to shut him up.

The first three wickets - so, the most important ones to take - were all 100% rank awful cricket by Pakistan (and some very good out-cricket by Aus in two cases tbf). Just horrible decision making and execution more than any bowling brilliance on Aus's behalf. That's what really opened the door for Starc and Cummins to then barge through.

Given Australia's previous issues in bowling teams out, i dont understand why they aren't trying to bash 60 in six overs and declare here. What is the point of defending when you have 9 wickets?

So he's basically their Ganguly. What is it with mediocre 90s/2000s SC batsmen being spud Chairmen of Boards?
