I forgot this was happening until I logged on here. No surprise to see the usual garbage from our batsmen. I suppose this is the one semi-decent partnership that will provide a degree of false hope before the last six wickets fall for 20.
Well they've already passed 51 AO and 77 AO. So one of our better recent starts in the Caribbean.

51 was in the second innings wasn't it? I must admit to not remembering the 77 ao at all. Anyway, apologies for the pedantry. Just passing the time of day really.

The other thing I vaguely remember from the 51ao match was the 'Dumb Slog Millionaire' headline after KP gave it away in our first innings instead of going on with it and making sure we actually posted a competitive score. May have been in 'Private Eye'.

good partnership from stokes and bairstow...noticed they have stokes, foakes and woakes in the team, has that happened before?

I think it's a slight anti-climax, because Bairstow is in-between them in the batting order, but yeah it's been a while in the making.

Cricinfo reckon that 'WI are right back in this' after the Stokes dismissal. I'm not convinced that they were out of the game at 115 for 4, but there you go.

Given Stokes' form with the bat over the last year or two, I couldn't justify him batting ahead of Bairstow nowadays.

Interesting last session coming up. England could actually reach day 1 parity or possibly finish ahead if it goes well, or get rolled sub-200 if it goes badly.

Not much wrong with what Permaul is doing. He's found the right pace for the pitch and it looks like he puts a lot of revs on it. Is he a big improver?

Bairstow is scoring runs again and looking good.

England selectors: "He opens in ODIs. He's scoring runs in tests. Let's make him open in tests. Genius."
