It's 1. the sort of pitch Australia hasn't played on much (or really at all) recently and 2. might break up late so it's not exactly a done deal draw. But I think that Pakistan should've just ground Australia to the dirt, as now if rain happens Australia don't need to do too much more batting to save the Test. And the chances of the game turning out like this Test has increased dramatically.
I agree, Pakistan batted well but probably a gear below we expected them to do so.
