Associates ODI draft

two key World Cup title winners vs Roy Dias and Paul Stirling. Obviously a huge difference.
And that gets balanced by stronger players for round 1 later picks in round 2, which is the nature of every draft. But it's fine. I'll stop the discussion here. One can see what you want to see.

All picks in round 1 are actually good according to me. The draw has been quite unfair on me with me having to pick almost last in 3 consecutive rounds. I don't think that's fair especially in the initial rounds.
Prior to the draft starting, I had earmarked 5 players as a cut above the rest and who I would take if I had the opportunity. All 5 had gone after 7 picks. I might add the other 2 picks were for players who reprsented countries I hadn't go around to looking at (Netherlands and Kenya).

My point is, that first pick is not that good enough like Bradman to be penalized for 2nd-4th rounds with last picks when there are basically only 40 or so good associate players who will all be absorbed in these rounds.

But you all feel that it is fair and so it is fine.

I know his overall record is pretty poor in ODIs but backing him against a lower quality of bowling to get it right - Habibul Bashar

Ranatunga my pick a World Cup winner who gets picked on merit in ODI drafts and Andy Flower the same versus Dave Houghton in the final pick of Round 1. The penalties for Bradman are often much harsher and only the 3rd round draw was really a penalty. 2nd round was just the conventional snake draft and you were just unlucky with randomised 4th round draft.

I know that this is how it can be twisted to justify the draw I got. It is just blind men touching the elephant and so I just want to move on.

@mr_mister to pick now.

First of plenty of Namibians, I suspect - JJ Smit. Useful left-armers and a very sullen cricinfo profile picture too. What's not to like?
