FHK got back into the win column with a good victory in the T20 yesterday, their first this season, while ZCC motor along with their 3rd win in 4 games, despite resting Zack Yattack due to fatigue.

FHK have got three SOD friendlies today, and in a bid to manage player workload have ensured that each player on plays a maximum of 2 out of those 3 games. I think we're using a total of 17 players across the 3 matches. The first one when poorly, bowled out for just 130 by the Ashgrove Astronauts. It was a decent batting lineup but they just never got going - top order fell to the new ball, lower/middle ran themselves out, then the tail didn't do much. Zosongo and Sherwood scored 125 for the opening partnership to kill the game off. Lackluster performance, ratings edge for the Astronauts but expected better from the side.

ZCC have two games today too, and have just completed a 102 run win over Schmaltzberg. Picked a young-ish side for this game. Raun and Chung Yiu are the only ones aged 25 in the XI, rest are younger, with 8 of them still eligible for Dev cricket! 56K ratings, pretty decent. 4k edge of Dynamo S and playing at home, put in a professional performance to get the job done.

Next up is ZCC vs FHK, followed by FHK vs Moooo. ZCC will field 11 players who didn't play vs Schamltzberg, while FHK will played a pretty weakened team too, so will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

Another FHK vs Moooo game, another big ratings advantage for us, and yet again the batting misfires.

Something about this Moooo team seems to be an Achilles heel for us, those FHK have just been losing a lot lately regardless of opposition. Growing pains I suppose, overly reliant on inexperienced players and often forced to pick between a long tail or a weak 5th bowling option.

Hope we get up to a decent score and the bowlers click.

252 is a defensible score imo, big stand from Tong and Li. Tortured McCormack

International Coach
Mo Sherwood faces all the first 20 balls for Ashgrove against AXI. His opening partner and captain Tsitsi Zosongo then hits a boundary first ball, and the next ball Sherwood faced he got out. Evidently disrupted his rhythm.

Batting just hasn’t clicked today - only one partnership of more than 50. Hopefully can scrape closer to 200.

Haven't had much time to provide CW Championship content sadly, but after the first half of the round robin it seems like it'll be a real race for the six quarterfinal spots - ZCC having pretty much wrapped up the league title and the bye to the semifinals already.

I've also gone through the first three rounds and awarded points out of ten so as to make it a bit easier to work out the XI of the tournament. So far I have

CW Championship Division XI (after 3 of 14 rounds)

D Estandau (*CC) 7.3 - 191 runs, HS 95
Hameed (DynaSc) 6.3 - 145 runs, HS 64
Marita (DynaMo) 6.7 - 123 runs, HS 54
Yattack (*CC) 8.3 - 191 runs, HS 80
+Wood (Buy-Ins) 7.0 - 142 runs, HS 63
Shkorer (*CC) 6.7 - 68 runs, HS 47
Ncanana (TMO) 6.0 - 61 runs, HS 46, 4 wickets @ 27
ODOcherty (Buy-Ins) 7.3 - 27 runs, HS 18, 8 wickets @ 13
Ijaz (GG) 7.3 - 5 runs, 5 wickets @ 18 econ 3.4
Ramalingam (*CC) 7.3 - 1 run, 3 wickets @ 26 econ 2.8
Umer (Jura) 6.3 - 6 wickets @ 19

CW Second Division XI

Chunky (Hunks) 8.0 - 173 runs, HS 70
Marsden (Ashgrove) 10.0 (1 match) - 131 runs
Tindall (Moooo) 6.7 - 142 runs, HS 82
Rowan (ataXIa) 8.0 - 145 runs, HS 104
Murdoch (ataXIa) 7.0 - 77 runs, HS 45
+Batty (JoJo) 8.0 - 104 runs, HS 62
Veenstra (Moooo) 8.7 - 76 runs, HS 54, 5 wickets @ 13
Kurupath (Moooo) 9.0 - 26 runs, 10 wickets @ 10
Goliath (ataX Well) 9.0 - 6 wickets @ 9
Wermelskircher (Moooo) 8.7 - 5 wickets @ 13
Brown (ataX) 10.0 - 7 wickets @ 7.4

Also, Free HK's horror run of form has seen them crash to eighth in the CW rankings. Before tonight's squeak against Moooo (at 163/4 with 15 overs to go it looked pretty close) they were even tenth.

Have been away from the game for a few weeks and noticed that FHK's been our whipping boys. Not bad.

Haven't set orders for T20s and noticed Bernstein opening the bowling lol.
