Got a lot of six-pointers coming up, so not getting complacent, and as everyone keeps on bloody saying, rather have the points.
Fixture list is always baffling nowadays. Yet Bristol Rovers would make more sense who we have on Saturday, they're on a roll all of a sudden, then Mansfield, Swindon Salford, if we are still in a great position after that lot I may allow some optimism, but so far it could easily end up the same script as the last 5 seasons, play-off hell or just missing out on play-off hell.
Just hope Nombe can get back to his best after a bad injury, such a key focal point for us.

I think from what I’ve seen in the results, you are similar to us in terms of winning against bottom half clubs routinely. But the thing is, in itself in this division if you can pick up wins in most games against the lower sides, it’ll take you a long way because some seemingly better sides like Northampton struggle for consistency.
Similar to you though, if we get Spearing and Glatzel back soon I think we will get over the line, but the memory of losing Vaughan and limping to seventh last year is strong

Hmmm. Colchester had a good run of about 4-5 games of late, but that seems to have fallen away again. Real risk of no Essex football club being in the football league. Last time I checked, things weren't looking great for Essex in the National League South either.

Not saying much really considering the level of opponents and finally when they play an ok team he was the second worst player on the pitch.
Pogba is talented, but ultimately its not going to work out and he and Bruno can't coexist in the same team sadly.
He is probably going to go in the Summer anyway which is best for everyone involved.
Scott Mc T was hugely missed last night which tells its own story.

tbh I actually looked at their recent form after my previous post, and it has been dire. Maybe this will be their year, so to speak. Although I think that Leeds are probably worse unless they get something like their first XI on the pitch before too long. As for Brentford, speaking as a neutral, I do fear for them a bit. I hope they'll do enough to stay up, but the EPL is a tough ask for a promoted side that's lost form and/or confidence.

It should do, although one league win in 2022 doesn't mean we're completely fire-proof. As GIMH alluded, 1992-93 means we don't feel safe until three other sides need snookers, so obviously I'm not relaxing yet.
Yeah, they're looking pretty good now. Certainly better than most of the sides above them. Revisiting my analysis the other day, I suspect that Norwich's improved form won't be quite enough to overtake three other teams, and Watford look dire. So we're talking them and one other. Probably not Newcastle, despite losing Trippier. Preferably Leeds (rotten fans) or Everton (never add anything to the PL anyway) rather than your lot. Or Palace of course.
