Stumped!

Looks like it worked out for you in the end lol.

Jim Winthrop having a nightmare of a Dev League debut today. Lost the toss, sent in to field, but on a wicket with loads of moisture and a seam-heavy attack we should have gone okay. Instead their openers got off to a flier by constantly finding gaps in the field. We struck back to get them down to 80/3, but then dropped the new batter first ball, and he hammered us for 60 off 66. Bleeding runs all innings, going to be in for a massive chase.

A weakened FHK side take the field for today's Dev encounter vs Moooo - 41k vs 43k ratings. The older boys have been rested for a gruelling week of senior cricket, ending with the Cup game on Sunday.

We won the toss and elected to bat first at home, only to be reduced to 9/3 in 5 overs! Tony and Tiffany trying to rebuild now, but there isn't much batting to come after this. Moooo should be sensing an upset!

Meanwhile ZCC got absolutely thumped. Only positive is the IGT - bowled our 40 and everyone batted lol. We've got to figure out how to get the most out of this XI, otherwise we risk slipping down to Div 3. May need to sign on a couple of Dev mercenaries to bolster the XI.

MTOs had an easy win today in the end. Was not expected. But did not favour the IGT for the batting, with only one batsmen out. But not gonna complain to much.

First AA vs PP game today with AA playing their Dev side with bats as bowlers and bowlers as bats.

AA with 13k power play bowling, so the Pirates go in as favourites.

AAs are 107/8 after 35 with their best two bats at the crease set to high aggression. Hopefully give themselves something to defend.

A scheduling error sees the PPs take on JoJo at the same time in a Dev game. They’re 176/6 after 36. Could be too many already.

Comfortable 6 wicket win for Moooo in the end. 176 was a decent recovery (poor Tony Chung's gonna be struggling for fitness now!) but not enough in good batting conditions with our weakened bowling attack. We needed early wickets from Hui/Lam/Shum but didn't get any, skipper Meyiwa hammering 84*.

Poor start to the week, but necessary given we needed to rest our best youngsters for the senior games and the cup. Hope we can pick up some wins as the week progresses.

AX-W lost a Dev friendly to FHK a couple of days ago. Interestingly 16-skill bowler Caleb Evison had the highest BQ of my bowlers. He's a pretty hax Dev player, but sadly graduated from it this week. Will still play occasional senior friendlies.

Cnerd won both series between the mains and the affiliates 2-1, so I offer my reserved congratulations. (Reserved because of horrific views on how to rate spinners)

Fun couple of Friendly T20s today. FHK vs Dynamo Morpork and ZCC vs GG CC. Both somewhat experimental XIs, near full strength but with some senior players dropped to test out young kids coming through.

Morpork won the toss, fielded first on their usually grassy and somewhat worn home track. Fred Clarke ripped through our middle order, taking out Yau, Law and Kovrig for 23 runs between them. Agnes Chow carried her bat for 61* and Ivan Lam chipped in with a useful 29 to get us to 125. It was runs on the board, but not enough, as the hosts completed the chase with 5 wickets and 7 balls to spare. Good 51 for skipper Marita, steadying the ship from 32/3.

And then GG CC played host to ZCC in a high scoring thriller. We won the toss, chose to bat first. The good news for GG CC was running out Raun Shkorer for a 1st ball duck, and Babar Ijaz turning in an average BQ of 8.3! Bad news is Sajith D Estandau blasting 105 off 54 balls, setting them 199 to win. GG CC put up a good fight, and despite regular wickets kept on track with the RRR. Jayraj D Souza hit 52 off 33, and at his dismissal GG CC still needed 60 off the last 5 overs with just 3 wickets in hand. Enter Babar Ijaz. He clobbered 35* off just 13 to almost take the game away from us, but unfortunately was not on strike for the 18th over, bowled by Chung Yiu. 2 wickets in 4 balls ended the game - Yiu finishing with 5/27 for the match, and ZCC closing out a nervy 20 run victory. Good game! This was also the first ever ZCC vs GG CC T20 match! Can't believe it took this long, we should definitely play more often!

Just realised that Burger is injured. Don't know how it happened he was in decent condition. But now out for two weeks with a 'Gentleman's injury'!? First injury for the TMO squad ever.

The Stumped gods have gifted me a YP at the perfect time! Not Nat quality, but an excellent middle-order bat in the making. And his bowling is pretty damn perfect for a 30 pot bowler also.

Earlier today played the MTOs, and it wasn't a great performance by my batting lineup. The last-wicket partnership was arguably the best of the innings, Chambers bringing up an unbeaten 50 -- he's been remarkable at this level, averaging 35 and striking at 90 in 12 friendly 50o innings. It's in sharp contrast to his fr. Dev record -- 262 runs in 35 innings at 9.03.

Pol de Klerk's leggies got five poles on the bouncy track. Rehman Kaiser of the last-wicket partnership, another leggie, was brought into our side and got 3-43 off his ten (despite a meh BQ). But three fifties brought the Orangutans home.

Thanks for the game. Was a tough wicket and de Klerk contributed well (not always the case). Davidson on Fire for the TMOs to keep the chase simple.

I'm also blaming you for Burgers injury because I did not see it until after this match started!! Losing my best bowler for two week is gonna hurt....

Suddenly a glut of good YPs

I'm torn on this guy, I don't think I have space to train him in between Rocky and Matta but not sure he will be fetching much with those current skills either
god damn that's a confusing one. 45 defense-heavy bat with 13 stam, makes for a solid top order player. 16 keeping is great, but he's also got high-accuracy 38 pot LFS bowling + bullet arm with 14 fielding. Can either make him into a part-time bowler who can score you a few runouts, or a solid keeper, but either way gotta decide quick cuz he's gonna need a lot of IGT.

ZCC might pick him up if you list him, would be a step up on our current keeper/bat trainee, but we've got no cash.

9 captaincy too if you're strapped on leadership options.
