Have a feeling that Lillee might make it over Imran, despite Imran being voted ahead of Lillee in their head to head match up thread. Some of the votes that would normally go to Imran over Lillee may have been diverted to Akram which is the nature of this type of countdown.

Imran vs Lillee poll was basically tied tbf, so its possible it could be the other way around with the votes to akram as well.

Imran's away average of 25.76 is surprisingly low. I thought it was around the 22-23 range. His home average is ridiculously good though. Not sure why he couldn't maintain a similar level of success overseas.

Lillee's away average is around 24.5 though and with pretty much nothing to speak of in the subcontinent and WI. Whereas Imran had won matches all over and did better than anyone in the WI itself.

I would still take Imran's record over Lillee's.

Not comparing them. I voted for Imran as well. Was just surprised. Just didn't think there was that significant a difference between Imran's away average and guys in the top tier/top 5. Steyns is the only one that is close but when you adjust for the significantly harder era for bowling, it isn't close either.
