Depends what you want it to be. For me it is mostly no signings but fresh YPs from the main (who are essentially homegrown). But a few exceptions have been and will be made. Rusty Frost in particular is likely to move to AX-W when he ages out of Dev in a few seasons.

To me it seems like ZCC are going to find it hard to gain a lot of money, what with the cavernous ground and generally high wages.
Funny thing is it would actually cost me quite a lot to reduce the ground size lol

Wages are broadly fine - Zack perhaps gets paid a bit too much now that I don't bowl him. The squad will get trimmed when we get eliminated from the cup, and hopefully selling some of the older guys will bring in a bit of cash. But yea, finances are going to be tough with ZCC. Need to just keep winning games and hopefully uncover a gem or two from our academy. If we do ever get relegated back to Div 3 (heaven forbid) we'll probably do a full on sale/rebuild.

What’s the definition of homegrown? I assumed no signings at all but have both used players from your mains?
What I've been doing for FHK is only signing players from ZCC. The game caps affiliate transfers at $1K, so I put in the first bid for any player that ZCC sells and if no one else wants them then FHK gets to keep them. Apart from that it's just YPs.

You often hear that phrase on the forum ***** .... it's a known bug as though that is 'end of' - and I can't help thinking ... well why don't they fix it then?
the game's a one man show with complicated code and that that doesn't earn him enough for him to dedicate a whole lot of time to it

in the past the community has offered to help with some of the coding/development, but no one really has the skills needed or time required. I think there is one other Dev on board with Rob who can help with surface-level issues but doesn't go into any deeper bugs.

Bit of a chicken and egg thing. With more development the game could be more marketable, but until the game has more players we probably won't see more development.

Yes good points. The only way into the loop then as you say is to consider how either or both of new players are obtained and then retained. there is a huge burn rate based on membership demographic after 1 -2 years

But as you say if the developer does not have the time for development , then considering different dev, suggestions and bugs on the board is pointless other than 'because we can'

Seamers are overrated.

Particularly pleased with the O'Callaghan 59 (28) - he's a 17yo slow starter on 7 touch, he had no right to reduce a pretty decent bowling attack to dust. An excellent prospect.

Tin Yau obviously put up a fight (52 off 25) but wickets kept falling. Bear in mind that a sixth spinner, Dan Price, was rested lol.

how the hell am i 7-1 against Jura it must be cos they reject non CWC friendlies
also Schmaltzberg is 2-8 against Winton (2-2 OD, 0-4 DEV, 0-2 T20) but i back the 45k+ side we're putting out overnight Wednesday
Thanks will add that to above list and also noted looking back again that all 7 of your wins v Jura have been chasing, Jura's only win batting first. The last 6 meetings Jura have won the toss and chosen to bat on each ocassion

Your mention of that matchup and me wondering if I missed a match (as I had 7-2 on my end) made me realise that the DEV games that were played in 1970 for some reason that one time aren't on the Previous Match lists in Expert Preview I used to compile these records - left that game off record above for sake of consistency.

I lost a stupid number of consecutive games against Morpork but now the teams are pretty much evenly matched.

GG CC vs Moooo: 101 games, 55-45-1 (tie). Not going to count them all lol but it's about 1/3 dev, 2/3 sod.

Potgieter's on the TM, will look to use Winton's economical trash for 10 overs. Also solves the problem of fitting 6 batsmen into 5 spots but it isn't a long-term solution.
