Hall of Fame entries:

The AX committee has decided that the two experienced figures who have been guiding AX-W, Jan du Preez and Juan Goliath, will not be eligible for HoF entry despite standout records.

Dan Price has been chosen for AX-W. "It was a battle between three all-rounders," said the memo, "and we chose Dan over Felix [O'Callaghan] and John [Ward]. We expect that those two will get the Player of the Season distinction further on in their careers. Dan was a tremendous find and although he is too old to reach his potential, he is a deserving recipient of the honour." Price made 818 runs and took 49 wickets in 42 S29 games.

"For AXI, a technical hitch means we are unable to choose the deserving Shawn Dee to receive a HoF entry." Cynics say the technical hitch was a result of him being dropped in the T20, but that has been vehemently denied by AX. Jasper Davey has been named as back up. In 100 matches in the season he scored 817 runs at 16.02 and took 145 wickets at 21.79 and an economy of 4.74. "He was simply fantastic throughout the season with the new ball", said a rather disgruntled AX spokesperson.

AXI won the first competitive match of the season; meanwhile, AX-W lost quite convincingly. However, they bounced back in a bot bash earlier today, and got a decent pull to boot. It remains to be seen how the AXI T20 will go, but the early loss of Rusty isn't great. Got a crap pull there.

I feel like what ZCC are missing right now is a really gun bowler.

We just got pummeled for a 42-ball 114 in the T20 today :/ And it's not the first time good quality batters have torn our attack apart. We really need a 45ish skill guy in the attack somewhere.

Another two senior TMO players have just been put on the market, Margenout and Tyagi. Tyagi move is a difficult one as he has been with the club since early inception playing as an allrounder. Unfortunately he consistently finds himself not in the team, hopefully he can move onto better pastures.

The selectors had a conundrum before this week's SOD match, so have used the friendly against Morpork to solve it. Richard Simmonds (58 off 111) won the spot over Shawn Dee (28 off 39). Hoping Rowan/Murdoch can push on now.

Morpork chase down 221 at exactly a run a ball, in spite of Daniel Rowan's quality knock against his former team.

It's weird just how badly Frans Potgieter bowls. He's 36 skill and due a few pops at that. Decent touch, experience. His BQ of 1.8 doesn't just reflect an extremely anti-spinner pitch - after all, Martijn van Heerdens' trash yielded a BQ of 4.2. Is it simply that his skill distribution means he's just not going to be good?

Yea, he's accurate but doesn't doo much with the ball or have a lot of variations, so if conditions don't suit he's just going to be bowling crap in the good areas :P

Bowling quality is also relevant to the batters facing it.

Potgieter's up for offer for 150K, and I'm looking for replacements.

Kurt Murdoch's graduated out of Dev.

John Ward is the first AX-W player to reach 30 skill.

Got a solid win in my SOD. 70s for Winton and Rowan, five-fer for Brown. Highest rated team in the division was mine, lol.

And the CWC matches are happening rn. It's AX vs JO, a doubleheader.

We are building a platform albeit slowly v Ataraxia. Just hope we can utilise it and make it competitive by getting something around 220.

The other game is interestingly poised with Ataraxia Wellington 95/3. A few more wickets and we could reduce them to a low total but I'm not confident in my guys chasing over 200 really.

It's Moo's turn today to bash the bot in the CW4-2

Currently on 125 for 3 after 26 overs. The opener, Bart Way going strong on 66 off 77 with Mark Warfield who just came to the crease on 5 off 7 balls.

Need a big score from Warfield today.

Its difficult setting orders to play yourself isnt it?!? just done it for the 1st time- pretending you dont know what you know - so i just picked my best team orders for the relevant surface and ignored what i had tapped in.....

Very curious......
