Storytelling and ring psychology 101 right here. I'll be damned if these two weren't absolute wrestling thespians; just total investment in their personas, down to every last mannerism. I've been forced to catch up on a good deal of current WWE programming this past month and all I can say is ew. Head of the table, right.

Roman Reigns is fine. Of course he's not as good as Austin and HBK, because more or less nobody else is/ever has been. There's no shame in not being as good as literally two of the best ever. The problem is not with Roman, it's with more or less every other aspect of the E's programming.

Nice call. I've not seen this match in years but I remember it being crazy good. Might give it a watch later.

I agree with sledger above though: I think Reigns is good, but the product around him hasn't been.

Presumably they'll go down the AEW route of swapping between Saturday and Sunday based on UFC, NFL, etc etc. Although since they barely have a domestic PPV business anymore I suppose it doesn't really matter. They've got their money locked in

the main opinion on the timeline that I saw was people watching WWE for the first in times in ages and being bemused by everyone's theme song

Whatever it takes!!!
They're desperate for ratings but don't know how to build up their roster.
After all this, if their main events for the two men's world titles at Wrestlemania is Lashley Vs Brock and Rock Vs Roman, that is just awful And they would be proving CM Punk right about 10 years later, again.

Lashley vs Brock seems like it would be great but, again just reading timelines and what not, it appears they were dragged kicking and screaming into having even one Lashley/Brock match (Roman getting covid forcing a re-jig) and it seems this one barely got out of first gear before Roman interrupted so their story could plod on

Looks like it will be Roman vs Lesnar this year, I think Roman vs Rock is the goal for next year

yeah it was a dud match apparently

Lashley wanted the match for ages, but VKM apparently not keen, and Lesnar just doesn't give a **** at all so long as he gets paid

Reigns vs Lesnar again?
The first time they met is still one of my favourite ever matches. That was 7 years ago though and pretty much every time they've been back to it since has flopped. And the company hasn't managed to build up any other guy to the level of those two during those 7 years which makes it feel even more stale.

I'll do what I've done for years: skip the show and just cherry pick matches after the fact if it sounds like any of them were any good.

I dunno about his matches but I feel like CM Punk is on absolute fire right now in AEW. Far more fun following him and Bryan over there than it is following the E these days.
