Stumped!

A 38-ball counter-attacking 50 from Branning. He was in poor form last season, and it's good to see he's rectified that first game since the touch update. Meanwhile, Michael Winton is trotting along at a SR of 40. Can't imagine it'll do too much good as it's a hot day and he'll tire himself out. But it's good to see him get time in the middle.
Stay in there Michael!!!

The AA's are building on a partnership here for the 4th wicket. Bennett and Marsden have added 43 (57) so far. Looking good...

You jinxed him SCC. Out for 35 (81). Partnership falls for 97 (98), Winton only getting 25 of the runs. Branning was dropped a few overs ago on the first slog of the day. Dropped by Jan du Preez, who he replaced in the AXI lineup.

Now it's aggression to the fore with Branning and Murdoch at the crease.

Didn’t realise it was possible to set the outfield length to ‘jungle’. 5 boundaries in 27 overs.

I love Daniel Bennett

Fair bit of turnover for the Astronauts since their inception but Bennett has been a mainstay.

Ramsay is now effectively the club mascot. Neither in our strongest Dev side nor in the ‘high potential’ team.

Bhuban was recently sold and Murad will soon be retired.

Evans the only other active playing member in the squad.

Another jinx!

Yeah, Bennett's been a nice player for Ashgrove. (Assuming he's any good) late bloomer means he's got another 12 seasons with the club. I seem to recall he spent a while playing as a specialist #8 bat while senior players took up the higher spots.

Branning gone, Goliath gets a second. It's odd to say but I feel like AX-W should've been bowling a fair bit more than 34 scheduled overs of spin, given the seamers are going at ABQ of 3s. Captain-keeper Chambers to the crease, and he looks full of #intent.

Yeah, integrated into senior cricket by batting in the lower middle order but he’s come a long way since then

Kudesia a real chance to get his highest friendly score in his first game for the Astronauts.
And he does. Now a chance for his first career 50!

100 partnership between Murdoch and Chambers. Has been pretty tight from the death spinners but the pair have still been effective. Chambers' first friendly 50, but it's 50 and out on the fourth chance he's given.
