Part of the reason England are so far behind overs wise is that each time they change the bowling they use an over's worth of time warming up and resetting the field. How long it took to start this over was inexcusable.

Yeah Roots done....poor **** feel for him (**** off Burgey and gnske no reply required)

Not sure Billings is the answer lol but we're gonna have to take a punt on someone.
Gotta go to Stokes now, surely. Would be good

Hmm ok from listening to the drivel from the commentators it sounds as though Billings was selected instead of Foakes because he has vastly superior banter, which is more important than being good at catching a ball to take Test wickets. Or even scoring runs.
Mark Waugh said Billings has a first class average of 35? Waugh also suggested that a struggling team can benefit from a keeper providing some encouragement, something Pope did when he filled in last test.

Whatever the case, he and Pope were the only options given they're already in the country.

Just know it will go to Stokes and be a disaster. Honestly I would probably give it to Broad.

This will never not be beautiful.
Best part was when they threw a hissy fit because they weren't taking wickets that the conditions were "dangerous" and bowled all their part timers. Real 'I'm taking my ball and going home' energy.

it's very obvious in person, and maddening. they really have no excuse to be as slow as they are.

Foakes shoulda stayed in the team after playing well in India IMO. Or at least come back in after recovering from injury.

I never thought I'd say this. But this is one of the best tons from Head that's scored by an Australian at home in awhile.

Utterly obliterated Root's and the bowlers' minds.
